Maybe it has something to do with your editing numbers - 4317 / 1012 unique adds / 624 deletes / 791 unreviewed. When this thread started you had one small category, apparently you have been spending a bit of time on the ODP.

Hehehe... yeah, on Sunday I wrote a new editing interface for ODP too, so it makes everything much faster and more efficient. :)

I'll try it out if you need a guinea pig to try out your interface. The interface they use is very slow and could definitely use some improvements.

I'll let you know when it's ready for public consumption... But so far (for me anyway), it's making editing go a TON faster.

I'm also eager to test this interface despite being only an editor of a very tiny category (dancing - in one Polish city) :)

How would I go about either; becoming an editor or finding out who the editor of a catagory is? I honestly feel that either the person(if there is one) in charge of the /Shopping/Sports/Wrestling is doing a sub par job editing or deliberatly leaving competition off the list.(Most of the highest search placed websites aren't in the directory, and I've submitted a dozen of my competitors websites trying to get them in too.

Any tips on what I should do? Am I being overboard?

FYI FWIW: I applied a few days ago - spent a bit of time on the application (even did a spell check), but have yet to hear back, but we'll see what happens. I applied to http://dmoz.org/Society/Holidays/Christmas/Decorations_and_Props/ - big surprise, eh?!? ;-)

I tried and got rejected, who knows why?

I think my knowledge of the sport and catagory are second to none.

They should have told you why... Knowledge of a particular topic is secondary to the editing skills you show in the site title/descriptions in your samples.

Also... for the ODP editors that wanted to take a look at my interface, I started a thread on it within the ODP forums (in Editor Tools).

Mmmm... I think it would be okay (but I'm just a lowly editor, so who knows). Try reapplying...

I'l getting close to 5,000 edits system wide... :) Check my request log... It's interesting. There are days where I had 1,000 more edits than the previous day. :)
