Dmoz directories used by un-related sites causes PR to go down?

    Well guys .. is it possible that those sites who use the ODP maybe un-related will that lead to Negative PR for your site ?

    No. I doubt that anyone gets any "positive" PR from DMOZ clones but they can't give you "negative" PR.

    minstrel .. well in that case why is it so important to have your site listed on dmoz when it comes to SEO ?

    It helps drive some traffic and helps search engines pickup your links faster, in my opinion.

    It isn't "so important... when it copmes to SEO".

    The original DMOZ listing is just another link... period. The clone listings are pretty much worthless. All the rest is a myth.
