Annie, I love you dearly but if you believe that I have some swamp land in Mississippi you might be interested in. ;) Though I can believe the squirrels are playing golf and that is the cause of the delay. :)

Annie, don't buy brizzie's land. I can sell you some prime ocean view property in south Dakota for a very good price. :D

We didn't mean that you lied but as you know DMOZ management and truth are stranger to each other. ;)

Darn it Ivan, call off the Voodoo curse or Santa won't bring you any presents this year!

Gworld, DMOZ management would never lie to it's editors. Never. Ever. Really. ;)

Dont hate me for my joke LOL...I had to chime in. This seems like a fun thread.

News Flash: CNN Reports Dmoz Servers Crash.

Shortly after cleaning up his sticky mess and leaving capital hill, DMOZ hired Ex Congressman Foley to edit the adult section and while he was attempting to communicate through the DMOZ internal messaging system with the New Intern Editors, the servers crashed.. More on this story at 11 :D

In that case, maybe we should send those recently unemployed dmoz hampsters to fill this job. Maybe it was meant to be.

Those Hamsters may be over qualified for that position.

I think you are confused about the meaning of the word never. The word that you were looking for is always. :D

Wow, you really believe that Annie ? So it's better for them to be in Congress and Senate of the US rather managing DMOZ.

    Thanks dogbows.
I just read in another forum that things will get back to normal with DMOZ by the end of next week, and that they were completing major updates with their "shopping" area for commerce sites.

How are they completing major updates with their "shopping" area if the editors do not have access to edit?

Are they going to have a special directory software only for shopping sites or are they going to add mass shopping sites to the directory by themselves?

Well, to tell you truth what I read in that forum is something that really doesn't make sense, and it came from a DMOZ "editor". They already had a shopping cat a long time ago but they never did any major changes.
