Has anyone seen tremendous improvement in their rankings right after being listed in DMOZ? Be honest here. What do you think of the impact of having a DMOZ listing for your Google rankings?

So far, I rank better than many of my competitors who are listed in DMOZ, so I am really not convinced about how useful being listed in that directory is (in terms of SEO of course)

If you already rank higher, I really wouldn't worry about it. No doubt it does provide a bump though, due to the dmoz link, the mirrored google directory link as well as the hundreds of directories that use dmoz too.

Dmoz listing certainly creates an impact on Google rankings. If your website is listed in Dmoz there will be less hard work than to rank the website!

As long as Google count DMOZ as an authoritative source then all sites that being listed under DMOZ would gain advantage by have a link from trusted source. However, in your case that your site is ranked better than competitor that because DMOZ is the not the only factor that effect your ranking, even it is a big one.
