I heard that DMOZ wont index you if you use adverting ads on your website is this true?

    Short answer: No.

It won't knowingly list MFA (Made For Adsense) websites though.

I've approved sites with AdSense ads. It's those pesky adbrite people that we wont list (j/king)

No for the reasons state above. One has to ask themselves-does the site exist to support the ads or are the ads just a small part of the site? http://dmoz.org/guidelines/include.html may prove useful.

I heard only low quality sites get into DMOZ ;) j/k

MFA sites won't make it in but if a quality site has adsense on it then they will still be considered for inclusion.

    Good question though!

Absolutely wrong. Dmoz lists valid sites, does not include Made For Adsense sites

    Thinking more on it...
You may get your listing deleted if once accepted you turn your site into an MFA (Made for AdSense) site.

Now if editors could actually distinguish between true MFA site with no real content and perfectly blended ads and ugly looking unique website with ads simply dumped on it.

I recently got several spammy link exchange offers and I've almost fell for it until I took deeper look and realized its worthless MFA website.
