Dmoz accepting submissions again then

Hey I tried to add my site to DMOZ last year but they wasnt excepting anymore subs. This probably isnt the place to ask, but dang it im here now.
I take it DMOZ are accepting submissions again then??

They never stopped!! Where did you get that information from? DMOZ adds between 6000-9000 new sites a month.

 

And now do you know how many sites DMOZ adds every month?
How did you come with these numbers? Did you just made them up?
Are you DMOZ editor?

I not an editor. I just download the rdf dump and get the number. I been monitoring this for a while now and will publish the results at some stage. You are welcome to do the same to verify the numbers.

If you bother to submit to DMOZ, your SEO notions are stuck in 1998. You need to upgrade to SEO 2.0.

 

Google use DMOZ material, but they have nothing what so ever to do with the directory. Who edits where is down to the Meta editors and Admins of DMOZ, though usually an editor has to apply to work in a particular area. Also see my reply in the thread you started.

Numbers of categories have not updated from the couple of months.

 

I have followed their guidelines and tried submitting some listings about a month ago but still not seen them upload my listings yet. Are there anyways to influence it or is it simply a case of whether or not they editor is having a good or bad day?

 

You just wait. If you don't get added, there's really no since in trying to get added again. Just wait and forget.

DMOZ listing for a site is very necessary.but one thing it must be submitted once not again and again,once submitted it'll be listed serially.so you just keep patience.
