DMOZ 2.0 & the AOL staff...

There are a few other staff members mentions in the project, but it's these two that caught my eye. Both mention the ODP 2.0...and that implies change!?! It has to be more then just the blog and the broken Captcha (or has that been fixed?)

    Meet AOL's DMOZ Staff Team
The first time 2.0 was mentioned was in this entry: http://blog.dmoz.org/2008/10/20/dmoz-time-machine/

If you look at the other staff mentioned two of them have something to do with "Audience Growth" which is also interesting...but honestly, I'm really more interested in a newer version of the project. Ya think they might even get around to updating the documentation?

Additionally, the ODP needs to screen their comments better. The entry has 12 replies to date and all seem to be 'help me get a listing' comments.

You can change the website all you want, but if you can't change the mindset of the editors then its still a pig in a tuxedo.

Wow. You really really need to get over the fact you were found out. It was nobody's fault but your own.
Embarrassing? Sure, but it was ages ago, so please, accept it and move on.

Seriously. It's just not healthy to have such a baseless hate for so long.

Seriously dude, its one thing to be unhappy with DMOZ its totally another to want to fantasize about a sword battle.

Let's just agree that we disagree and save the Rambo stuff for another website.

I wish all DMOZ folks health and prosperity and I also wish you'd do a better job editing the website ;-)

Let's keep the debate on as grown up a level as we can.

Please enlighten what was found out, are you suggesting that I was hiding something? My ego is way too big to hide anything - unlike most losers I use my full name on the net and it would be very difficult for me to hide anything so I'm still waiting to learn what horrible crime I've committed?

All you need to do is check this thread to which only metas have access... and let us all know what kind of b'stard I'm.
    http://forums.dmoz.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=920489

I admit I was naive fool to think that metas where interested anything else but their own egos. :(

Embarrassing to who? I see only Metas who are too embarrassed to show so-called evidence to anyone who isn't a meta, I wonder why?

I'm from Balkans, hating is genetic, we can go on for centuries passing our hatred to next generations. :p

Nope, I'm never going to quit until metas show the so-called evidence on which my removal was based, if they had any they would have show in it ages ago to shut me up, since no evidence exist they can only parrot their standard BS and place links to rules.

I wish, but we are talking about people who only discus things amongst themselves and anyone outside their circle is treated like enemy.

I agree with that, I would have wasted years doing useless work if I remained there, now I get to have few flames and bashing in my free time.

He was found out what? It's a matter of he said/she said, and there has thus far been NOTHING to show that he was found out for anything other then a small handful of people pointing a finger at him and calling him names.

Maybe if proof was offered to show that he actually did do something, he would be the laughing stock rather then the ODP...

Confidentiality guidelines can be broken with the consent of both parties. Ivan has given his, so how about it?

At lest they have shown their true face and lost any remaining integrity they might have had.

I'm laughing stock, here are my editing logs just check the names of those websites and categories, Jimbo must have paid a fortune in bribes to get all those wikipedia links listed.

They probably tried but when they removed anything that could be comprising to them from my removal thread they were left with a blank page and admitting my removal was nothing more then some meta ego going through the roof and getting his buddies to approve it without bothering with any kind of evidence would basically open Pandora's box with removed editors plus metas involved would come under pressure to resign.

Could you PM me his e-mail? Like Qryztufre all I get is:

    Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request POST /cgi-bin/send2.cgi.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

or you can e-mail him yourself:

Why should the Editor In Chief reply to a third party email about a very very strict rule, and I had you down for a least being bright.

In other words there is a bigger chance of US government opening Area 51 to public visits then for me to learn what was so horrible that I did in ODP - I'm guessing I've made some meta look really dumb which is probably worst possible crime in DMOZ. :p
