Hey Im running vps and one of the user got a claim for their site. my vps is supspended and i dont know what to do. i mail the owner of the script he used that i will remove the content. is that enough? the mail: This DMCA notice has been written and sent according to the guidelines set out by the DMCA within the jurisdiction of the United States of America. The infringing content must be removed. The owner of the copyright may take action against the website owner, but probably won't. Your host may have a policy of terminating hosting when this happens, or they may unsuspend your account - it's up to them. You need to contact your host.
You should do better than that,you can pleased the owner by offering him a sharing of profit with him. Or if he rejected your offer,then you should tear down the related content. But if you still want to keep the content,and you can do this legally by switching your server to offshore.
