Divx Ate my laptop

    I have an Advent modena and not long ago i downloaded DIVX so i could stream shows and movies from stagevu as i did on my older pc but for some reason the divx completely destroyed my laptop which was running windows 7 home edition? Does anyone know why this happened or if there is a fix for the divx program itself?

    I use VLC and so I don't need any aditional programs or codecs. Maibe you should try it too.

    I installed DivX on my windows xp notebook and my notebook started working slow,whereas VLC works fine and I never had any problem with it. So I think no need for any other software if you have VLC.

    Same happened here with an antivirus, if you just cant boot windows put in your win7 disc and go on repair my computer, it pretty much does it for you.
    Then remove divx and got vlc.
