    Hi
I think would be a good idea to divide the “Solicitations & Announcements“ tread in Free and Paid Directories.
    What is your opinion?

The forum is currently very effective as it is. Some good paid directories run free offers frequently because they realize how much quality free content they are missing out if they were only paid.

Where would you place the directories that cover free and paid? and what about reciprocal directories?

The section is perfect the way it is.

Well reciprocal can go with paid, if the admins decide to divide the sections.

But the best solution would be labelling before directory submission

    E.g.

    [FREE] Directoryx
    [Reciprocal] Directoryy
    [Paid] Directoryz

    etc

Yes, labeling is a god solution, but people have to do it, if they do it it’s really fantastic, and would solve the problem.

Again what about the directories offer free, paid and or reciprocal?

I dont any point in chopping up this section as all you need to do is read the title of the thread and there is a 95% chance you'll figure out what type of directory it is.

    they can do like this

    [FREE][Reciprocal][Paid] DirectoryA :D

If people label it not necessary to divide, sometimes only when you get to the submission page you discover if it’s a paid or free directory, sometimes the posts are misleading. And you are losing time and patience.

Yeah I also really hate when that happens but its only a small % of people that do it and they usually get flammed by other DP members. I know I'll flame them when they do make their post misleading as you said its wasting our time.

I think that solicitations could be further broken down into:
    -Free Directory solicitations
    -Paid/Reciprical Directory solicitations
    -Directory Submission Soliciations

I'm not sure that creating sub-forums would accomplish anything other than creating more work for the mods.

It would increase the chances of misplaced threads, threads deliberately posted in the wrong forum (the busiest), posting the same announcement to multiple sub-forums because they're offering Free, Reciprocal and Paid options, etc..

If everyone posting announcements and offers used good titles it would be easier for all. A sticky with some simple announcement guidelines might be more effective than trying top split the forum. The members themselves can help to improve on a good resource.
