    While some have predicted this thread will go on and on...let me help fulfill that. :)


    TABLE tags are not very "semantic" or "like normal language". The creator of the web, Tim Berners-Lee, has said that the web needs to be more semantic. DIV tags are not much better, but do allow CSS to take over the responsibility of presentation. Separation of content and presentation, while making a web page more semantic, will be a web page that will be interpreted ( parsed ) correctly now and in the near future.

    Come on, get over this Transistor vs Television discussions everybody knows that TV is much better than Transistor and jump into something new, something constructive and not boring and discussed from the stone age, let's discuss on UX, Accessibility, Methods share ideas. Let's get a positive buzz on this DP rather SPAMS. DP community (at least this part of the forum) has been continuously degrading. Quality discussions is missing like the desert miss the rain.

    I am new in this forum. My english is not good, i am sorry about that :)

    anyway,

    my prefer is DIV. But sometimes DIV is not enought. For example, i made this website with "div" but in PROJECTS >> ANKARA, i used TABLE. Because it was be problem with "width=100%" page style.

    If you have to use a table for layout, it means you don't understand your problems with using other means and CSS. Tables never need to be used for layout.

    I only use tables when someone is to complex to complete with a div. Other than that, divs for me.
