Div style visibility hidden, still counts as link back?

    If i use

    <div style="visibility: hidden;"><a href="http://www.google.com/"></div>

Would that still be considered as a link back? Won't get penalties or anything like that?

Or would it be better to use

    <noscript><a href="http://www.google.com/"></noscript>

I seen major sites like statcounter.com use noscript as way to get linkbacks.

Links in hidden divs might get your site punished, so you don't want to do that.
Personally I wouldn't risk putting links in noscript either, but it seems that a lot of stat sites use it for backlinks at the moment.

I guess i'll have to use no script then... www.statcounter.com got like a PR 8 from doing that. Thx for the info.
