Distribution of copyrighted materials

One of the blogger I know has an Adsense disabled only on one of his website. Here's the email he received from Google Adsense.

My question is all the images we copied using images.google.com is not allowed? How can you define copyrighted materials? Because one of my friend told me that it's okay to copy images on the internet but of course not all. Like branded images from Microsoft, Amazon, etc which is branded.

I am asking this because every post on my blog has images that is taken from other website using images.google.com.

I think if you listed the source you might be ok. Maybe other people know better.

you shouldn't copy the images too.Because once any image published to internet and cached by google.those are belong to the website which are introduced first.

images on google are copyright protected even if they are not "branded" you need to go to a stock photo site and buy your images and it will give you perms. technically speaking of course...

they can be pretty pricey, cheapest and best site i know of to get some is fotolia.com You have to load 10 bucks to start... you really won't spend more than that as each image is 1-3 dollars on fotolia. Other sites can be a lot more though.

But ya lke the previous person posted, i think they are talking more like content. Do you have downloads or mp3s or files on your site? Or links TO sites with that kind of content?

better find images that are on sites which gives you rights to republish, because often you only use a stupid image to illustrate an article, so you can put ANY image, don't risk someone reporting your site to google for such things.
