    Hi,

Can you please help me? Something occured to the websites I am visiting, instead of some signs I use to see for example My Account button... now there is a sign I do not understand and what change it. Like I saw on many other websites, instead of pictures (some of them, not all) or buttons or stars for rating something.. now is this square with something green inside and no significance. I am using a windows 8, didn't do nothing to the computer, software.. etc.
I test it now and see on IE it is ok, only on Chrome something is changed.

What is this and what can I do please?

    THANKS!

You probably got a virus. Especially if the site shows up fine in one browser and not in the other. I'd uninstall Chrome completely first, then I'd run something like CCleaner (http://download.cnet.com/CCleaner/) and reinstall Chrome again.

Make sure it is not something trivial, like ad-block or your antivirus.

Could be a virus or could be that your anti-virus software has clamped down on images?

Could be nothing more than the site you are visiting has FIXED THAT WHICH WAS NOT BROKEN and now it is broken. I see that with a looooooooot of websites. If that is the case, there is NOTHING you can do to fix the problem except to complain to the webmaster for that site.

Send your complaints to one or more of the following:

    customerservice@nameofsite,
    feedback@nameofsite,
    help@nameofsite,
    info@nameofsite,
    postmaster@nameofsite,
    service@nameofsite,
    support@nameofsite,
    webmaster@nameofsite,

Usually at least one of these will get through to the website owner.

It is NOT your fault MOST webmasters are too INCOMPETENT to code a website that works. Neither is it your fault that left uncontrolled, website "designers" can render any website TOTALLY USELESS.

Thank you all very much. I saw on the IPad or phone those signs are ok, not showing such missing icons. there must be something with my pC then.

    Thank you very very much!

clear your browser cache, also you can clean dns server cache. this might work - Go to start and right click - goto command prompt ( admin ) and a blackbox should appear type in ipconfig /flushdns hit the return key
    this may work
