Dispute over payment terms

I really hope someone can help me with this before I end up seriously out of pocket.

I signed up to an advertiser on CJ and fully read their terms before setting up a PPC campaign with them. I have generated approx £1000 in affiliate revenue and far more than that for the advertiser. The advertiser has now contacted me saying that I am not allowed to use PPC even though their terms state differently.

Their terms say that PPC advertising on brand related keywords is restricted and details are in their 'Special Terms'. The 'Special Terms' merely state that I cannot bid on any of the words set out in the keyword schedule and that I cannot use their display URL. I read the schedule and made certain I didn't bid on any of the listed keywords and that I didn't use the display URL as stated.

Yesterday I received an email from the advertiser saying they don't allow and PPC advertising whatsoever.

Can the advertiser really stop my payment even though I have complied completely with their terms? I have spent nearly £300 of my own money to generate this revenue so as you can appreciate, am extremely worried now that the advetiser seems to be contradicting their own terms and moving the goal posts when I have made them a lot of money fair and square. Surely they can't stop the money I am owed according to their terms when they have clearly made a tidy profit from my investment in PPC?

Please help as this is doing my nerves and blood pressure no good at all!!

    Thanks

They can stop the payment and 99% of the time, they WILL! It would help if you told us who it was. I am only sticking to reliable programs that have been on CJ for more than 3 years. most likely this program just signed up. You will get scammed on CJ many times, like me, just learn from your mistakes. All the advice I can give. :)

Call CJ up and explain the situation to their customer service department. If you're in the right, CJ will side with you, as they get a percentage of all commissions generated, and if the merchant reverses the transactions, CJ loses out. What merchant is this?

if you have clearly explained the situation.. it is very much clear that they cannot reverse your commission. But talk to CJ people because CJ give too much freedom to their merchants.

This sucks even more now! I spoke to CJ like you guys suggested - thanks for that. The Account Manager and the advertiser both reassured me that my account was in good order and that no commissions would be reversed. Two days later I got an email saying my account was under review for bidding on the brand name (which I am NOT!) and that if I carry on, all my commissions will be reversed!!!

I emailed to enquire and advised I am not and can prove this with screenshots from my adwords account and simply got a snotty reply saying touch luck because they know otherwise!!!

    What does under review mean?!

Under review means that they're checking and watching your account to see if you're violating CJ's or an advertiser's terms. Can you tell us which advertiser this is, please?
