I have adsense on one of my pages, which is about pool - the game with the balls. But google display "swimming pool" ads, lol. Is there any way to correct this?

filter the ads in adsense setup. But I don't know if that helps because from my experience, when I filter ads (which is not relevant to my site), my CTR is even lower than ever before!

Try adding the word "Billiards" in your text.

Use section targeting, and more keywords in those spaces related to your niche.

Most Google ads that relate to the game of pool are for "pool tables." Those are the ads you want. Therefore, make sure you use this keyword in your titles, in paragraphs, and in internal links. Even though your site may not be strictly about pool tables, if you want ads, you'll have to find a way to use the keyword often.
