Hello All, I have a simple question. I went to http://www.websitegrader.com and graded my website which ranked 98 out of 99. I am currently displaying my badge on my website (http://www.outplaypoker.com). Do you think this is a good idea or not? Thanks, Nick
I don't think that badge has much value to your website visitors. Really, the only thing you are doing is actually just giving a backlink to the website grader website. The only websites that might actually see a benefit to that would be those that are related to the SEO topic. Visitors might find the grade appealing to look at. Otherwise, I would probably remove it.
People who are purchasing poker equipment from your website don't care about website grader. I bet the majority of your customers haven't even heard of website grader so basically putting that badge up on your site is useless. Website grader uses this criteria to grade your website" The algorithm uses a proprietary blend of over 50 different variables, including search engine data , website structure, approximate traffic, site performance, and others". This has no relevance to your customers. They only care about the quality of your product and nothing more.
Yea, I was simply trying to build credibility. If they saw the badge and saw that my website was ranked highly, then it would sort of build trust with the customer. Thanks, Nick
