At AdWords they do this, for adsense I don't know. Maybe someone will know there, but I think there is only $ as option.

I am pretty common with $, although I am from EU. Next year we will have €, but I like $ pretty much. :D

To be fair, the currency of the Internet is the American dollar, so why would you want to change it?

shamess why and how is the currency of the internet the American Dollar?

I can understand people from certain countries dealing with dollars to possibly make things easier and its maybe more beneficial to them to use the dollar but im not sure that its the currency of the internet.

If thats in reply to my question, and i dont mean this in a disrespectful way, but thats not really an explanation to what i asked, im trying to understand this as i cant see how US dollars are the currency of the internet, like a universal online currency, im just not seeing that myself.

I agree with pipes, "currency of the internet" new one to me! I like the function that you get in paypal to pay in many different currencies at no trouble to the user, think its great!

Well almost everything uses the dollar as a default currency, I even buy and sell off people in England with me in Dollars just to avoid the currency conversation rate on PayPal.

I always found it annoying that when I'm bidding on Adwords I have to bid in £ (which generally means I don't get much value for money :p) however Adsense will pay me in $.

    Sneaky imo.
