Displaying categories in wordpress blog

    HI,

    I have installed wordpress blog and imported blogger posts. Now it is displaying all the labels as one category in the right side bar. I want to display only the top 10 categories in the side bar. Also i want to display Archieve in the year wise, it is displaying each month in one line. How can i do that?

    All the labels ? what "labels" ?

    for archives to show up in different lines, u would need to edit css i think..

    labels created in blogger. That means we have lots of labels in the blogger, it all created as categories in the wordpress. I don't want to display all the labels or categories in the side bar.

    Blogger calls tags "labels". I'm wondering if you mean a tag cloud :confused:

    Try this for the categories:
    <?php wp_list_categories('orderby=count&order=desc&number=10&title_li='); ?>

    And this for the archive:
    <?php wp_get_archives('type=yearly'); ?>
