is it allowed to display Google ads on a website pages with text content and no videos but at the same time there is a page in the website which has links to tv show (copyrighted material) videos but with no ads on it? in other words, is the policy applied on a per-page or per-website basis? Or simply do not display the ads on any of the website pages even only one page contains the links to the copyrighted materials?
Hello, As far as I know, the policy is applied on a "per site" basis. Think about it this way: you shouldn't be allowed to run adsense on a website that doesn't get your adsense account approved. Well, in reality there's the gray area, where people run ads on websites that comply with TOS but wouldn't necessarily get their adsense account approved if they'd sign up with that website.
hey Mike I had Veoh Bleach videos links on one of my websites in the exact same way as on these 2 pages and I got my website banned by Google because they're saying the material is copyrighted: http://www.veoh.com/videos/v165800742FKshNqm http://www.sidereel.com/Bleach_(US) I can understand the video is a copyright material even I'm not hosting it but on these two websites we can see Google ads almost everywhere even on pages containing those videos links. I emailed Google about this and they simply wrote back telling me that they will look into it and take the appropriate actions if any but I doubt they'd even bother look at them.
