Display URL & Destination URL

Please help. I'm confused.

Let say I hace the following URL's:

affilaite hoglink: xxx.vendor.hog.clickbank.net
merchant website: vendor.com
my landing page: landing.com


1. For the direct link case:
Should the display URL be xxx.vendor.log.clickbank.net and
destination URL be vendor.com?

2. For the landing page case:
Should the display URL be xxx.vendor.log.clickbank.net and
destination URL be landing.com?

3. If the affiliate ID doesn't have to be one of them, how do I specify it for a campaign?

I appreciate it if you provide firm answers to these two questions first.

For the 1st case: if your destination is: vendor.com, Your display URL must be Vendor.com/WhatEverYouWant

For the 2nd case if your destination is: landing.com your display URL must be landing.com/WhatEverYouWant

Hope question already answered. just add one more tip. always use your own landing page, and optimize it for keyword on which you biding. It will lower your cost.
