Display certain category posts on main page?

    My WordPress blog has four categories. Two for posts. One for news. One for videos.

    On the main page of my site I only want to display posts from categories one and two.

    How do I do this?

    yes, you have to use query_post function to make this possible. check out the wordpress codex as suggested by bhuthecoder.
