disparity in Page eCPM between sites

I just opened a publishing account. I added one site and it has been running at $10 eCPM. I just added another site and its running at about .80 eCPM.
This is a rather large disparity- so does anyone think it will lead to smart pricing for the first site? so that all in all I am getting paid less for the same traffic - as both sites are about equal in terms of traffic. Maybe I should try an alternate for the site with lower eCPM.

You'll only be smart priced if the users clicking your ads on one site are not converting for the advertiser. If they are clicking on 5 cent ads and converting, no smart pricing will happen, even if you aren't making a lot from that site.

Comparing eCPM only makes sense if both sites are in exactly the same niche.
