Disk space on VPS

    Hi,
    I am confused about the disk space on VPS. I am buying hosting for video Streaming site host provider me 40GB I want to know the the 40GB on my Server is Equal 40GB on PC..
    Please help me ...

    I think yes.But dipending on the video's format you can fit alot of videos in 40Gb

    Yes, it is the same amount of space on a VPS as it would be on a PC. Alin has a good point though, the video's quality will determine the size per video.

    You should also consider the Disk Space required for the OS, Control Panel if any and etc. on the VPS!

    40GB VPS means you will have like 38GB available.

    Yes, You will get 40gb disk space, but about 1gb is needed for os,cpanel etc etc as trifo12 said :)

    You won't get total 40 GB total space for usage on server because OS and cPanel installation requires some space.

    The unit 40GB would be same on every device. Do you want to know the command to check the disk quota on your VPS?

    Checking disk usage is very simple through WHM interface for anyone, not experienced in SSH..
