Hi, My site has been set up in such a way that at the top of the page I have to put a . Or - and then colour it white and have the rest of the text underneath. Otherwise it just ends up looking a bit weird. I was wondering if SE's will be confused by this and mark the pages down - or won't it matter to them being listed. I thought about putting Keywords and colouring them white - but this seems a bit dodgy and I'm sure the SE's spiders are clever enough to detect this - still it would be good if someone could clarify this for me. Thanks for any advice
white keywords on white background are a basic google no-no http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=66353&query=text+color&topic=&type=
this is considered a cloaking strategy which is frownded upon by google. Why do you need to do this anyway?
Thanks for the advice guys. I'm pretty rubbish on Wordpress and was having to do the above - but i've found a workaround, so it all looks good now. I was just wondering about the keywords - certainly not something i would contemplate now.
