There are lots of reasons out there including accidental clicks, sabotage clicks and click fraud etc. Strictly speaking there is no way to avoid it (except accidental clicks), and the best way to protect is to report to Google for the invalid clicks, once found.

    What is Invalid Click?

    • Clicking your own ads
    • Same IP clicking your ads too often
    • Same IP clicking too many of your ads
    • Intentional or unintentional click exchange
    • Too many useless clicks (Very low conversion rate)

I think reporting invalid clicks is not enough, and in most cases you'll never know that there's invalid clicks specially if your website has high traffic

Google doesn't mind invalid clicks on very high-traffic trusted sites ;)

A friend of me got his account terminated 7 months ago because of he told them that he think there are 3 days including some invalid clicks. BTW, his site was ranking less than 9.000 in Alexa and he was just wanted to tell them so that they know that he is not a cheater

Do you mean that 100 UV a day is the solution to avoid account termination?

If you mean that i don't think so.

I've seen sites with over 5000 UV a day getting terminated without any fraud, Just because of unknown invalid clicks!

I don't worry much about invalid clicks as I believe Google will take care of it.
but you can use some tracking scripts, many of them have the Ad clicks fraud protection feature.

If you have any previous experience with any of these tracking scripts share it with us or write your review.
