I wasn't sure of the best DP category for this news, but I did search for "Ma.gnolia" (with the . ) and didn't see any new threads about the outage. `````````````` WOW! Ma.gnolia experienced every web service's worst nightmare: data corruption and loss. For Ma.gnolia, this means that the service is offline and members' bookmarks are unavailable, both through the website itself and the API. As I evaluate recovery options, I can't provide a certain timeline or prognosis as to to when or to what degree Ma.gnolia or your bookmarks will return; only that this process will take days, not hours. Days not hours...?? They must back-up their database, right? If they back-up how could more than a few hours worth of new bookmarks be lost? also... How could it take more than a couple of hours to restore from back-up? If their clustered servers are really messed up they could rent other hosting for a few days. Back to #1 They must back-up their database, right? If they back-up their DB how could they be so messed up??
