Discription of site in google search

I added my blog'sURL in google yesterday and it is in search. But unfortunatly the discription of blog is weired. How can i change the discription of site any idea?

You need to add a meta description to your pages. Each page should have a different description just like the page title and headings.

and what about main page? the link which brings visitors to www.sitename.com. should i add meta in index.php aswell

 

Yes, each page needs a meta description. The page title becomes the large print link on the SERP snippet. The meta description usually becomes the text below the large print. If your meta description is to short relevant text, or even unrelated text, can be appended to the snippet. Suggest 25 to 35 words for a typical meta description.
