if im publishing an image from another site or if i dont know that a particular image has a copyright or not... what kind of a disclaimer i should add.. or what are the other actions required? plz explain me how to find a particular image has a copyright or not.. thanx in advance.
I guess you can say that the images on your blog are properties of their original owners and if they have an objection then they can contact you.
Depends how their being used, for example say your an affiliate marketing a product, most advertisers would have no problem with you using product images from their site. If an image has a creative commons license, like on flickr for example it will tell you if and how you should attribute the oroginal owner/publisher. Its not ok to ramdomly take an image without consent. An example ive asked for permission to use images from various people on flickr before. Some of the responses differ from "sure no problem" to "absolutely not, you may not replush any of my images" Its not always easy to know who owns the images and who has or hasn't purchased the right to use an image. For example on my blogs ive used free royalty free images and ive also used purchased royalty free images from stock image sites, clearly i own none of the images, if you reuse the images with or without asking me i still cant give permission to use them, regardless of paying for them or not. A lot of people think that images can just be randomly grabbed and used but just saying that their not your images may not be enough. Its been known even for template sites to use stolen work.
