I'm probably going to add one of these to my blog.

Are the privacy policy and disclaimer the same thing? Should I just have one or....

depends on your site contents. normally it can go within one single place

ut some times disclaimer can be separated if you want to play safe :p

Hey Cheece2001 - They are not the same thing. If you are selling a product or service or system which makes claims like "earn $3000 with this system", you need a disclaimer because ultimately, the purchaser may/may not make $3000. He/she may be lazy and skip steps in the system. If they then make only $5 they could come back and sue you for false advertising or something. A disclaimer/earnings disclaimer will cover you in instances like that. Privacy policy is needed if you gather any information from visitors to your site such as contact details (through an opt-in form) or if your site places cookies on their computer.
Google likes when you have Privacy policy on a site that collects contact details. Hope that helps

    They're completely different things.

It's a must to have them on your website especially if you're selling/re-selling a product (but not only)

If your website collects certain information from users (such as credit card information/ telephone numbers / emails etc) then you need a Privacy Policy in place.
