Hi All Unless Im missing something obvious and if I am I take it back but does any one else think MSN AdCenter is rubbish? I have a web site on parenting. I managed to get £50.00 worth of free ads so decided to set it up and have a go. I normally use Google Ads. Every single keyword has been disapproved. Does any one have any suggestions? I set up another ad with them for an auction site I own and that has had most of the words approved. I just dont understand why they wont let me use any of their very own suggest keywords like parenting for a parenting site? I have emailed them but wont expect a reply this week. Maybe it me if it is please let me know. James
Hi JamesB Are you based in the UK? If so give support a call here: https://support.adcenter.msn.com/default.aspx?productkey=adcenterss&mkt=en-gb There are a number of reasons why your KWs or ADs may have been disapproved so give them a call and they'll take a look - it's a much quicker route. No mate you are not missing much though, AdCentre is pretty rubbish. I have been using them every now and then (usually right after I forget about my latest promise not to ever use them anymore) and must confirm that disapproved keywords, disaproved ads and tons and tons of annoying emails confirming disapprovals seems to be just an essential part of their everyday business. I commonly get my adds/kwds disapproved for irrelevant content on the landing page (so they say) even though another, virtually the same add with identical keyword list, has been happily displayed by them without any probs for ages. And if you still think you are alone in having problems with AdCentre just have a look at Shoemoney's blog. Few weeks back I noticed he also posted posted little rant about them over there also with all the pics etc.
Hi Guys To be fair Jeremy's post was from 9 months ago and adCenter has come a long way since then in terms of improved functionality and efficiency. Editorial remains our top focus as you can from the latest adCenter Release Guide. Highlights other than the editorial changes include: Campaign management: - Daily budget option - Default dynamic text - Campaign import – now compatible with AdWords Editor output Reporting: - Access recent reports and report templates right on the Reporting tab - Drag and drop to re-order custom report columns - Totals and averages now shown If you have any additional feedback or requests then let us know Cheers adCenterEU
Hi Guys To be honest I’m very surprised. When I left the first post the other day I was stuck with how to get the ads approved and working. In send the ad centre and email asking them why my ads were not being approved. I then got a call today from one of the guys there. He asked if it was ok to talk about the ads now and as it was not I asked if he could call back when I finished work. I’m very fussy about things like this. I was waiting here a few mins to 5:30 when he said he would call back. Guess what he actually did. We then went through the ads on the phone and I was really surprised almost speechless at the level of customer service I positively received. I’m going to run the ads for a few months and see how things go. I’m actually very impressed. I just hope this view lasts. Good luck all. James
Wow time just goes by so quickly. That post indeed is 9 months old which is probably same time since I last used AdCentre. Seems like time has come to give it another go. To those improvements mentioned: I never had as much problem with lack of functionalities as I had in trying to figure out why this or that keyword/ad was being disapproved as irrelevant (or worse yet: approved and working and than, over some time, keyword by keyword, disapproved). Essentially I would love to see some more closely related explanation to each particular disapproval / rejection (probably an administrative nightmare to implement I imagine).
