well, first of all, $30 - $40 is good for the first few days. Hell, i'm working with some sites and adsense for a few months and only get around 2,50 a day :p

anyway, maybe your subject of the site doesnt have that good paying ads. Maybe you put the ads on places where people will not notice them.

And you can give your URl, it isnt against the TOS. If you would give the url and say something like 'please click my ads' it would be against the TOS, but just showing other people the site to get advice for better placement is totally fine.

That's why I am here trying to learn because I'm confused as to why my ads are only making pennies. It looks like only the high traffic sites (millions of visitors a month) can make money.

no, that isnt true, but you cant expect to make hundreds of dollars in a week :p

read, learn, try, give your URl here so people can help you, advertise your site. Anyone who is willing to put the time in it can make a nice amount of money from adsense.

Have you really been asking for help or was you trying to give another example ?

I got a site with roughly 70-100 uniques per day earning me between $2 and $7 *surprise*.

Please do me the favor and just give me the URL, otherwise I won't be able to help you just like the others.

PS: ibold.net seems to be PR zeroed now and the adsense ads have all converted to PSAs :O !

The ads look good from here with no PSA's. The top image ad is for the Google Toolbar download which looks good.

Just to re-emphasise this I have a site that gets 40 uniques a day and makes on average $3 a day with a reaaaaaally low PPC price...

Seriously with your 25,000 uniques a day or whatever you could make a lot if you play your cards right!

P.S. Give us your url!!! :D:D

I broght a site i own from 2% to 35% in CTR. All i did was work on coulor schemes not on where the adsense is placed. If your getting some hits on Adsense why not try changing the coulors as well. Just a suggestion.

Thanks Ezy. I changed the code on my top ad and I made it "image" only. The banner catches the reader's eye better than the text ads did. Because my site's background is black, the text ads loked terrible when I tried to blend them. I also placed a horizontal link unit directly under the ad so it looks like a nav bar and I blended the colors so the links match my links. I placed the large square 4 ad text unit lower down near the footer. Today my CTR was 10% higher than it has been since I started. It looks like my strategy worked.

    NewToAllThis:

If you look under the Search Engines->Google->Adsense->Placement/Reviews forum, you will see that lots of people are giving away the URL for their website in order to improve their Adsense revenue. No one has ever been banned for this, because it is in no way violating the Google TOS. Like we have said, Google would even encourage you to seek help from us, because if you make money, they make money.

We can't help you very well without the URL of your site. If you let us know, the help we can offer can be 100X more useful than anything we can offer out of our imagination.

So please, save *us* all the time and effort, and post your URL, and we will definately be able to help you. If you have that kind of traffic, you should be making $100-200 per day, MINIMUM, and potentially up to $1000 per day, if you handle things right. Don't cripple yourself by not allowing us to help.

    Please, consider it.

Congrats. Theres alot of things you can do to the ad to improve the click through. As time goes keep track of whats worked and what has not. Then try to improve on it. You will be hitting the hundred a day before you know it. I have some great sites but only wish i recieved the hits you do. I would definately RETIRE!!!!!

What's the point of asking questions here if you don't cooperate with those people who wanted to help you? you keep on asking but you don't even trust those who help.

your funny. i think your really need to keep your site to yourself. :)

If you wanted to get paid per impression, then Adsense isn't what you should be going for. With that many visitors per day though, you can very easily make a lot of money with adsense. Blending is everything. For textual ads, you don't want them to stand out. You want them to look like normal links on your site, not advertisements. So color and placement are huge. I suggest looking at the general adsense forums here on DP, a lot of people give out very useful tips.

    Hope that helps a little.

Don't give up. You should be happy that you are making anything.

However, w/ that amount of traffic, keep on optimizing ads and experimenting w/ different colors and placements. You should be making a lot more.
