Disappearing Rep and Comments in my User CP

I had a rep/comment and then it was gone. How does this happen? It was there in my User CP for at least 45 minutes to an hour. Strange.

Are you *sure*? I'm the only one that could make one disappear, and I didn't.

I had the system recalc your total reputation (if a record was missing, it would change) and it didn't change.

I also checked the 100 most recent reputations (about 12 hours worth) and there are no "missing" reputations (the system assigns a sequential/unique number to each reputation) and there are none missing.

Are you sure you aren't just going crazy? :)

    No I am not. :)

Grump sent it to me, he can confirm, it was after my last one now showing in my User CP, in it he made a comment, I almost remember it word for word. I saw it there at least 7 times, next I go look, it's gone.

I also discussed it with him in PM to explain something and we even talked about it, then I even told him when it disappeared.

This is definitely strange then. :(

Okay, you *are* crazy... I checked every rep left for you, and the most recent one is from Grump.

Try reloading the UserCP page (maybe your browser has it cached incorrectly or something).

Ahhhhh... bingo. Colleen deleted her post. I didn't know vBulletin hides the reps on deleted posts. :)

Damn, Ninno must be onto something, I did delete a useless post, I guess that's the one he left it on, so that explains why I don't see it. Shawn, you do see it though? Ok so for me it's just cause the post is deleted so it can't show to me. How weird. It should still count and display to me.

    Lol... ok thanks guys. :D

It does count still, but it's hidden from you since you can't see the post it's related to (the link to the post would be invalid).

It's still taken into account on the backend, and that's why I can still see it.

It was a naughty post!! Red with in 30 seconds of making it!! I think it was when I confessed that I tried to get AnthonyCea to come back and post, and I got something like.. 'we don't want AC back' so I quickly deleted it!! :D:D Of course the rep number didn't go back up after deleting the post!!! :D:D

You've always been able to... as long as it's within 6 hours of you making it.
