    Hello all,

about 20 days ago, i uploaded a new site , i was targeting a niche keyword.

2 weeks later, i got indexed by google, and i was about # 5 in google serps for that keyword.

the next couple of days, something very fishy was happening ! my site was keeps disappearing from google serps and coming back again minutes later !! whenever i do a search for that keyword on google, i find my site # 5, then minutes later i do a search again and i dont find my site in google serps !

Now, after about 20 days, my site has disappeared from google serps .. i can never see it in google serps whenever i make a search for that keyword.

But whats driving me crazy is that in "latest visitors " in the cpanel of my site, i can see from where my visitors are coming ( referers )

this is what i see everyday in cpanel statisics( THEKEYWORD being the keyword im targetting ) :

    - http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=THEKEYWORD
    -http://www.google.es/search?hl=es&ie=UTF-8&q=THEKEYWORD&meta=

This means my website is appearing to others on google serps , and im getting hits from there

I've tried changing IP / PC , and still i cant see my site in google or yahoo serps !

by the way, when i type my URL in google , i can see my site, this means im still indexed by google.

Can someone help me please and tell me whats going on :(

Google uses many datacentres, you may still be listed in some and not doing well in others or in the process of a ban which is filtering through. Check your terms here

    sji2671 speak truth.

Also, be aware of 2 things:

    1) Google is in a state of flux at the moment due to something people are referring to BigDaddy (is it finishing soon?)
    2) It's quite common for new sites to disappear like this from google. Don't panic!

Could be a lot of things. From what I have seen, this type of thing has been going on since before Cutts started talking about the Big Daddy DCs (of which I believe there are only three that are live). Seems to me like they are including click patterns and browsing times into their algo or testing that. But, like sji2671 said, could be that you are getting booted from the index. Another possibility is local search is sending you traffic. I have a site that gets decent search traffic from google's local search, even though it doesn't rank for beans (for years now) in their normal web search. In Urchin, it looks like normal google traffic, but upon closer inspection, (the raw logs) it is actually from www.google.com/local. If you have zip codes and/or area codes on your pages, that might be something to look into as well.

it's not really "dont worry", it depends if the spreading trend is to index or to deindex you

I have had exactly the same thing happen on my site today, the referral link for the hit shows google and the keyword but when I follow the link my site isn't listed!! Very strange

Based on what I know about my site, I'd suggest I'm getting indexed now as this has only started to happen in the last few days.
