Disallow and nofollow : PR and ranking for other pages

I disallow one of my /folders via robots.txt, actually its one of menu categories/sections (wich I dont need in index)

But later I find that this disallowed pages have high PR, same as top level page.

Question: do I need additionally "nofollow" them so that "PR juice" will be used more for other pages.

Actually I dont care about PR, but I understand that it can reflect on SERPS too, I think other pages will have better value.

What you think? Do you ever nofollow your internal links?

    Wordpress example:

Calendar pages is good for users, but useless for seo, will be better to see more tags and posts pages instead of dates in serps :)

beceuse site.com/tag/keyword "Keyword Related" is more important than "Posts from 13 December 2007" site.com/2007/12/13

Or it can be usualy /page wich I dont need in serp, see first post in thread

// disclaimer - I know that sometimes calendar can be usefull, depends on type of website

If you disallowed a page from being indexed, PageRank can flow to it. But because Google isn't allowed to index the page, it may not be able to follow link from it, so the PR is effectively "trapped". However, PR isn't really useful for pages that Google isn't allowed to index.

If you nofollow the links pointing to the non-indexed page, the PR juice might be spread to other pages. Nofollow can be used on internal links if you want to prevent PR from being credited to less important pages.

I have used the nofollow tag on some of my internal links for more than a year, and there has never been a problem, so it should be okay for you to do it.

So basically, if you use nofollow, the pages will still get indexed but won't get any PR. Can they still appear on the search results?

And if you use disallow they don't get indexed at all but they CAN get PR.

    Am I right?

    Thanks.
