Kinda crappy, I still have some domains with them. I liked them for fast registration with PayPal, but after what happened with .ME domains I stopped using them. Also the 7~$ whois protection is a rip off! I use my local register for 8$ .com, at least they offer lifetime free whois protection.

I have used Godaddy as my registrar for almost 5 years now without issue. Support is fine. Just don't use them to host anything... their hosting totally blows.

    hope that helps,

i use godaddy for many domains.

i find their website/service "painful" to work with sometimes... but i get sucked in on low / coupon pricing.

    waiting for a SOLID/LONG-TERM alternative. :)

Thank you very much for valuable and important informations. I found this post more precious than 3 threads together.

Any recommandations for domain resseler account?

I own about 130 domains and soon number will be around 200 or 300.
I only want simple and fast interface, safe domains, and hopefully 7-9$/yr per com reg (but i don't mind 2 pay 10-11 for really good service).

I saw some simple reseller site.. but I dont wanna resell hosting or ssl.. i just wanna my own domain registry, mostly cos of my registrations. Don't wanna giogle credits & stuff.

How about other firms and possibility to find own domains locked or to receive attorney bills? I suppose sooner or later all of them will have more or less similar "tos" regarding law things?
We should keep in mind that people are always talking about big names so we might not know about others as well.
How do we know that all other aren't same as "daddy" ?

I was thinking for long time.. and 99% decided to change my reg company. My only problem is that I think other may be same or worse.

I would recommend a look at an onlinenic.com Platinum account if you have 100+ domains. They also do a reseller program https://www.onlinenic.com/reseller/

The only thing I hate about GoDaddy is their "Undo Department". Scammers take advantage of that, I guess. They say things like "Contact us in 15 days if your domain was sent in error" or something, but when you try to get your domains back, they already have some stupid excuse waiting.

Other than that, GoDaddy is cool.

Yes even i wont recommend godaddy, i hate their BS offers and misguiding their customers
their support system is absolutely pathetic. i would prefer namecheap or name.com anytime.

    http://ohashi.info/registrars

I would personally recommend Fabulous but they are a bit limited in which TLDs they offer (com/net/org/info ONLY) and don't offer any sort of whois masking. If those 2 issues aren't an issue for you then they are by far the best registrar around.

Otherwise, building a relationship can be very important with your registrar, some registrars that have good support are: namecheap and sometimes moniker (when there isnt a conference).

yeah, prices NEVER go down there. It's also seemingly impossible to find any good coupon codes, none of them are working. Also, if Godaddy has a sale on .com's, it nullifies the possibility of using a coupon.

I haven't had bad experiences, but I hate their website. They try to upsell ALL the time, offering an incredible amount of other services, related domains, longer terms etc. when you try to register a domain.
And honestly using a beautiful, half naked, leather clothed woman on the home page doesn't really shout out "quality". But maybe that's just me...

Do you mean like WWD? Or just a good domainer registrar? Many domainers use Fabulous but I prefer Moniker. Namecheap is actually a good registrar it's rare to find someone who says something bad about them.

So my top picks would be Moniker, NameCheap, then Fabulous.

To me that's Moniker. They have good tools and I control 500+ domains in my account with ease. You can get cheaper pricing by contacting them at namepros.com asking for a reseller account. They have a member there. I have reseller pricing and pay pretty much bottom prices for registration.

Support is one of the major issues which most godaddy customers face..their prices are always competitive though..

I vote for GoDaddy, mainly because they are very reliable and always up! I have never experienced a site site not even for a moment

I'm happy with namecheap and do not recommend this to any of my friends here. :D

I have had good results with the customer service at Go Daddy - but I agree with the posts regarding the whois issues. Dean
