Disabling Receiving PMs?

    Hey,

How come you can disable the option to RECEIVE private messages, but not SEND them?

I think that if you can't receive them, there's no point in sending them, except to spam other people (*cough* Miss-Java *cough*) and not expect a response back, and it only irks you inside if you receive a message like that because you know you can't do anything about it.

Can the staff here do something and be reasonable with me on this: cause first of all, I'm sick of incompetent staff (not here, but other places, staff here so far isn't too bad) that don't discuss things with their members at all. They are there to help with the members' concerns, not ignore the members.

So, can you make it so that if you don't want to GET private messages, you can't SEND them either?

*EDIT* Seems Miss-Java has been banned... (Thank you!! So far, so good, staff, keep up good work) - the reason I raised this concern was that she sent me some spam messages and I couldn't respond because she "disabled PMs" or something... but still, can you address my questions? thanks

    Thanks,
    -Matt

This forum features a private messaging system, which allows members to send messages to one another privately.

If you do not want to send or receive private messages, you may disable the private messaging system.

It really wouldn't be that useful, since it's an option someone can set. You could send your PMs, then set your account so you can't receive PMs after that. Doing that wouldn't "undo" all the PMs they already sent, so...

Oh, so you can disable the entire system? I didn't know that. It only said "has chosen to not receive messages" ... so I assumed the above.

    Thanks ^_^
