    So it sounds like people who use dialup or DSL are less likely to be banned than those with a cable and other static IP addresses.

    Here's an idea.

    If you do browse your own sites and have AdSense on them... Bookmark a redirect URL that takes you to your own site via a script that detects your IP. It makes a cookie or enters in a database some info that will be used by your AdSense code output script. Like this:

    if ($current_IP = 'One from the "ban" list')
    {
    echo 'Don\'t even display AdSense';
    }
    else
    {
    echo '[put AdSense code here]';
    }

    PHP:
    Now you and all people from the same IP can safely browse your site. Can be expanded with friends' IP's being added to the 'ban' list.

    Once a thief, always a thief. That's what Google seems to think. And I agree with them to a great extent. Judging from your post, I wouldn't want you in my program ever again if I were Google.

    Read the TOS before you start business relationships.

    Its Illegal and un-ethical to click ads published on your own site. Remember, people spent lots of money to advertize their sites through google and for them even a cent matters a lot. So I would say, whatever, google is doing to protect publisher's interest is just and must. Why can't people display some creativity in getting more traffic, then looking for few cents of fraud clicks!

    I don't get it. 1000's visit this forum every day. These threads are quite prominent....THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL. Don't click your own ads. Furthermore, don't cry the blues when you have done so then get banned.

    I would also like to say that I believe that there were more clicks than stated...4. I think we all have clicked our own ads at one point...quite innocently. I know I have in the beginning...never got banned. But the clicks were discounted by Google. I estimate it has happened 3-6 times over 1 year in error.

    AdSense it the best program out there, and will remain this way. They have to protect the advertisers.

    Homer, Google should realize that they are not dealing with folks that even read their TOS, these guys (kids) think they can just put ADSENSE code on their pages and click away and get free money.

    Google should change their TOS to the following statement and forget all the small print.

    ATTTENTION WEBMASTERS: DO NOT CLICK ON YOUR OWN ADSENSE ADS OR YOU WILL NEVER BE ALLOWED BACK IN THE PROGRAM :eek:

    WE WILL CATCH YOU AND BAN YOU FOR LIFE :eek:

    Yes, Anthony. Sometimes a very harsh lesson to learn when you are a kid. 'Kids' should not be able to partipate in this program as the outcome is permenent, whether you are a kid or not.

    I find young people learn as they grow. OFten changing thier ways after learning a lesson. But here there is no room for error.

    So if your new to AdSense or 'a kid' who has been grant AdSense priveledges...

    1) DON'T CLICK YOUR OWN ADS
    2) DON'T CHEAT
    3) DON't TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO CLICK YOUR ADS
    4) DON'T JOIN SHADY NETWORKS THAT CLICK ADSENSE ADS

    Remember there are webmasters that are paying for these ads expecting ROI. Maybe new AdSense members would benefit from learning AdWords first!

    Oh ya, did I mention DO NOT CLICK YOUR OWN ADS? If I didn't DO NOT CLICK YOUR OWN ADS! ;)

    Truthfully? My cat was responsible for one of the clicks and my girlfriend clicked two others. If this was not the truth It wouldn't be funny!

    Everybody makes mistakes and click an ad here or there by mistake. I actually clicked on one of my own adwords ads by mistake the other day. I was very tempted to contact google and ask them to credit back to my adwords account...lol

    I made a mistake and stepped off of a high cliff one time but an eagle grabbed me before I landed on my laptop at the bottom of the mountain, thus keeping me from accidentally clicking on one of my own ads.

    If it were not for that eagle I could have been banned from ADSENSE :eek:

    I also had a time when I was working on my truck fixing the transmission and I had my laptop under the truck with me and when I rolled over to grab a wrench my dog happened to nudge me away from clicking on an ad, just a lucky break I guess. :)

    I owe all my success with Adsense to this day to my dog and that eagle..... :eek:

    LMAO reading AC's post. Dude you'll beat me in the rep list in no time if you keep going like this.

    The next AdSense accident might well be someone accidentally ejaculating on their mouse clicking their own ad... Google must have heared them all!
