disable hotlinking does not work om my website?

    Hello guys:),

    I have trayed many .htaccess text files, but no one worked to me,
    i have placed the file here: on the site folder as you see?

    ftp.download-4arabs.com/public/sites/www.download-4arabs.com/

    it's relative to where you place your .htaccess file.

    also you say .htaccess text file, it shouldn't be a text file. the file extension should be htaccess.

    Actually, it is a text file, and the name of that file is .htaccess

    @OP: Why don't you simply post the relevant part of the file. Your ftp server is password protected, and nobody needs to see your .htaccess file, anyway.

    Oke now it works very well, but if i copy the link and put it in the adress bar
    and then hit enter i see the jpeg file, is there a way to fix that?

    I thought you were trying to stop hot-linking the images to begin with. How can you say it's working very well? Show us the part of the .htaccess file that is supposed to block hot-linking.

    Have you tried to stfw? A Google search on the terms htaccess+block+hotlinking returns a potload of sites providing specimen files.
