DIRZAP: Directory Submission Site FOR SALE

Hey everyone,

I decided to auction off DIRZAP. I don't have the time to properly devote to building out the site and smoothing out the edges and I just keep on getting more other work so I won't have time anytime soon.

What is DIRZAP?
DIRZAP is a semi-automated directory submission site. Users create an account in our forum and can then add their sites to the system. They can then walk through the database of phpLD directories (which are presented in descending page rank order) and submit their sites just by choosing the category and entering the CAPTCHA. DIRZAP keeps track of all the directories users have submitted to and decided to skip. The system gives them a link to the category page where they should expect their link after approval as well as links to the directories they have skipped in case they want to go back and try them again.

Traffic
The site is only a month old, but gets a fair amount of traffic. Right now I'm getting anywhere from 30-50 uniques per day and 500-1000 page views. I have not spent any money promoting the site. All the traffic is from word of mouth. See the attachments for details.

Users
There are 182 members who have made over 4000 directory submissions in the short time the site has been live. There is also a support forum with the 182 members (all webmasters, obviously) that could be built out into an SEO, Domain, or Directory focused forum. I've also had several members offer to volunteer their time to review directories, etc. so a community is already starting to build.

Income
I've only been able to squeak out pennies with the site, but I think that's because of the monetization methods I've been trying. I tried Adbrite and have some affiliate links (which are up there now). Based on the traffic pattern I think CPM ads would be a better fit, but I don't have an account at any of the CPM ad companies.

What You Get
* 2 domains: dirzap.com and directoryzap.com, both registered at 1and1. They don't have any PR because I launched the site about the same time as the last PR update.

* The site (written in PHP) which manages user's sites and the directories they have submitted to as well as the database with all the current user and directory information.

* The forum with 180+ webmaster members

* A PHP script that reads in a text file with a directory URL on each line and determines whether or not each directory is compatible with DIRZAP and adds the directories to the database. Note that this is all automated so all you need to do to add directories is periodically download directory lists, put them in a text file, and let this script run.

* A PHP script that checks all the directories that users have added at dirzap.com/adddir.php to see if they are compatible with DIRZAP. You can cron this and have it constantly adding directories.

* A PHP script that checks the PR of all the directories in the database using a third party site

* A PHP script that removes duplicate directories from the database

* Once I push the domains, site, and scripts to you I'll give you support for 7 days so that we make sure the site comes over smoothly and is running as-is without hiccups.

If you are in the business of offering directory submission services or are a serious SEO company who spends alot of money/time on directory submissions, you could bring this tool in-house and use it privately to save you a bunch of $$$!

For those pondering whether to use DirZap, i'd give a recommendation from my side. It is a very easy and very well thought out way to get your site listed on many directories.

Would have been well worth the buy too
