Dirty words in domain effects SEO?

Do words like "whore", "bitch", "slut", etc. in the domain name have a negative effect on SEO, in regards to sites that aren't porn related (friendwhore . com, spacewhore .com, for example)? Any ideas? Thx.

    Ummm, well...

Depends. Might be hard to get industry leaders to link to url's like:

    www.payday-loans-for-whores.com

Also, if you plan on forum spamming family friendly forums then you might get the url obfuscated by a filter, making the links useless. But on the other hand it might make great link bait from the blogging community, especially if the url accurately decribed the website:

How exactly were you thinking it might hurt? Some inherant search engine penalty based on profanity? If so, then no. There isn't one.

It's going to hurt precisely because people are less likely to link to a normal website on a spammy domain-name.
