DirectoryM on your site?

I saw this company and wondered what you guys thought of it - got mixed reviews. DirectoryM seems to have had some big clients in the past and they seem to take existing content on a site and create like mini sites of the content and put each site with a localized feel. So if you have content on the Acura it will add a locale to the title like "Acuras Looking Good - San Francisco" and then they would create a subdomain for the content at sanfrancisco.mysite.com where it would appear along with ads and stuff they add to your content. I'm not so sure how much I like the idea since it's regurgitated site content with local cities added to it and I can't imagine Google doesn't catch on although supposedly there is no content penalty. Has anyone dealt with this company or know anyone that put up the content on their site?
