I want to open brandnew directory website. I'm newbie, maketting skill is little, I want to ask some question: 1. If mysite is new, no high traffic but cool domain name and style. Will people buy link and add their link to mysite? Need your comments, suggest 2. How to make site grow up fast? And everyone know it? I have some website, I launch it and only I know it Then I post ads on forum, seo... is this way bad? I want people know my site before it launching, any ideas for this? So tell me some trick to make my site grow up
i guess you want a links directory (and not articles directory), am i right? if so, i doubt there will be anyone to buy links if you don't have pr... the higher the pr is the more money people will spend to buy links there; though if you allow free submisions i guess there will be people to add their links hoping you'll have some pr in the future for the 2nd question the answer is simple: time = money so if you want to get BIG fast you'll have to invest some money in mass promotig your website (PPC is the easyest way) - this applies if your site is just another common one, but if you have intresting things and usefull tools that can't be found somewhere else you'll do it fine without investing much money i'll gine an example: these days myspace sites are trendy, there are lots of them and most have the same content (maybe a different way of exposing it) so it's very hard to grow such a site (from the visitors number point of view)
