Some directories are now taking thumbnail images of websites added to their directory and in my view these help these sites look professional. Can anyone point me in the direction of a script to do this please.

Thanks Alucard - this is certainly an option though its by no means certain that they will have the thumbnail, or that it will be current. There surely must be a script somewhere for converting webpages to images (there are plenty that do the reverse!).
The first time I saw that, I thought, "Oh... cute...". My reaction now is *yawn*. All it really does is slow down the page load time. If I wanted to look at images, I go to Google Images. If I'm in a directory at all (and in my case it would only be a niche directory), I'd be looking for categorized and/or reviewed sites for their content, not because their home page is pretty.

The Velocity Webshots Sandbox is free. I started a new thread for it: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=58050
