Directory submission is still useful in getting backlinks from different sites in the web. there's nothing to lose since it's free and it will only take about a minute to submit your site in it.

Directory submisisons are a great idea.. and very good way of getting links.. Is there a place where you can get list of all high pr directories? Plus how much would it normally cost to outsource Articles submissions to? Traffic bug is AWESOME... ad if you are earning over $150 dollars from your sites then well worth the monthly investment!

Submitting to hundreds of directories is not really a good use of time anymore. Submitting a couple of related, quality directories is fine but I wouldn't spend too much time on it. But it's certainly worth submitting to DMOZ and the Yahoo Business Directory. Yahoo charge commercial sites $299.
