I am working on a PR4 website, would it help if i used submitterbot.com and submitted to all those directories, or would it hurt my SERPs in the long run?
    Any better ideas?

    Thanks.

Unique Blogger, I noticed the same thing on submitterbot. I just submitted either way. I'm testing it out on one of my blogs, before I use my companies website. If that works I will update it. Make sure you confirm your directory submissions when you get the email.

Rather than using a bot to submit your site submit them manually or hire someone to submit to directories manually. Most bots can submit to phpld directories (and some to esyndicat) but they struggle to submit when the directory owner has put bot blocking mods or when it's a custom directory.

I believe most directories that ensures that bots can't submit links in it and custom coded directories are more useful for SEO than fly-by-night directories.

You can find many directory submission services in buy, sell & trade section of this forum. Otherwise you can search for the terms and use one of the providers.

I'm a big fan of digiXMAS for directory submissions, and you should also check out social bookmarks. You can get a great deal of traffic and backlinks from the social networks. I suggest Bookmarking Demon for those bookmarks.

digiXMAS is a very good piece of software.
I won't buy it because I submit semi-automatically to directories from my own directory list (and you can do that with the free version :D )
If you would like to submit automatically you will have to buy it.

Bookmarking Demon - I don't use it, so can't give you feedback.

you will get back links but submiting to thousands of directories will not help you.......most FFA directories do not help you in promoting your website but they are only made to collect a vast database and then sell the same......so only submiting to some hundreds of directories will help you increasing your PR.
