Directory Submissions Target = 10 per day!

This is our long term target.

To reach 10 quality website submissions per day to our directory at UK One Way Links.

This is a reasonable and realistic amount of submissions to receive and one that we are happy to set as our goal.

What are your targets and how do you see your directory achieving this.

Thats a good target, ours are based lower, but of course we would like to get as high as your target :)

Our Directories month on month consistently meet our targets

10 a day should be easy enough, but it would be the cost per submission that would blow out.

    good luck with your goal.

The best target to set is 0/day ... this way you won't be disappointed and everything over 0 is an achievement :)

Super reply to Mikey there Fastian.

The 0 was a previous thing for us. Now we would like to go for realistic submissions and with a good promotional campaign believe it can be achieved!

Its just finding the time as also work full time out of this!

Thanks for all the support folks :)

Open an Excel spreadsheet and record all the submissions you place and which page you have submitted to.

I will not use any of these linkchecker programs as not found any that great but a manual check every so often works wonders.

It would be easy enough to have excel auto check your list for errors. to save manual checking.

it would also be easy enough to do a quick check based on url in excel as well..

As a matter of interest, how do you market your site with that 10 submissions per day target in mind ?

I am actually no longer keen on spending more to market the sites than is comming in , week after week,

Organic growth, what i am now looking at, cannot be forced, or predicted

Makes a lot of sense to me, you can be hitting your targets weekly/monthly but if your expenditure is more then its not making any sense to do that, often someone will suggest that their payments received for business for the last month were increasing but it may be from an increased promotional spend with very little profit.

Set your goal considerably higher for a long term goal. Consider around 50 per day by year three as a minimum daily.

50 per day paid submissions ?

Potentially 9,000 to !8,000 new paid listings per annum, apart from yahoo, perhaps botw, joeant, business.com, does anyone come close to this ?

If so, how do they drive in the submissions?

    PPC ?

    word of mouth ?

    banners ?

I think to pull those numbers it would be more a culmination of a lot of work and prior marketing, or a huge instant wad of cash to swamp the market place with advertising.
