Directory submissions still is good or bad affter penguin update??

    I have a query regarding directory submissions, Is directory submissions banned after penguin update or still it is working. Please clarify this.

    Directories were never target ted in Penguin Update.

    Although, there importance have reduced with time, but still they are used for building links.

    Penguin has nothing to do with directory submission, penguin is only targeting spamy links and that links could be from anywhere...

    Directories are great source of inbound links so if you follow the guidelines of directories and penguin you may not get affected anymore.

    You can still submit your website in Web Directories. just make sure that directory is unique and reputed not black listed. also submit your website in high PRh directory with appropriate category. Use different keywords and mainly use 3-4 phases keywords as Title in Directory...It still work for SE
