Directory Submissions- Question

    I have been thinking to start submitting my sites to directories lately.. I`ve done it some time ago but not to a large number so I`m pretty new to this..

    There`s tons of information all over about directory submission, and rumors that mass-directory submissions might not work anymore.. I know deep links are what counts the most..

    The question is.. does mass-directory submitting work anymore in terms of SEO has anyone done it lately ? I mean submitting to 1000 + directories, using anchors and all that..

    Doing directory submissions only won't help much. However submitting to directories is a good way to diversify your link profile.
    For any competitive keywords / niches you will need quality backlinks from "real" sites.

    What you call mass?? 1k / day, 5k/day??

    as far as you can do 1k/day i think its pretty ok, as all link are not goin to get approved in single day, at the same time i must advice to use various titles and various descriptions. :)

    Tx .. guys...
    well I wasn`t going to do 1000 a day, anywhere between 20 - 100 ... So I will be doing it for a month or two..



    I see most directories approve sites withing weeks..:)

    I just keep submitting to them regularly, as mentioned you should mix it with other methods too.

    It works, just not as well as other methods as the links aren't as quality or related.
