    Nowadays google do not place as much importance for directories anymore. If you notice carefully, most of the PR of inner pages are zero, so that would not make much difference contributing towards quality backlinks.

    If they are niche specific then they're probably worth doing. Don't make directory submissions your sole link building technique through.
